Scout-O-Rama coming to Moffett Field May 20

printer friendly version Print this story

On Saturday, May 20, the Pacific Skyline Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold its annual Scout-O-Rama.

Since this year's showcase will be held in Hanger No. 1 at Moffett Field in Mountain View, the theme is "Soar with Scouting." The event is open to the public and admission is $2 per family.

Scout-O-Rama begins with a parade at 9:15 a.m.. followed by a day full of Boy Scout and Cub Scout activities. Various booths and displays will try to represent what young Scouts experience within their units during the year.

Scouts throughout local neighborhoods are now selling tickets for the Scout-O-Rama. Those purchasing a ticket will also receive a chocolate bar as a thank you. Proceeds from the ticket sales help Scouts earn up to 45 percent commission for their units, as well as great prizes.
