printer friendly version Print this story

The Peninsula Democratic Coalition (PDC) is offering a scholarship to the 1995 Political Campaign Management Institute at the University of California, Davis. The Institute, to be held this summer from July 13-16, offers participants an intensive training in the "nuts and bolts" of political campaign management.

The PDC scholarship covers the entire enrollment fee for the Institute. The scholarship will be awarded by contest, and each contestant must provide a completed application form, including a written easy.

The scholarship contest is open to registered democrats residing in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. Submissions must be postmarked by May 30.

For more information and contest application forms, call the contest chair, Rich Watters, at 856-7430.

The Peninsula Democratic Coalition, based in Los Altos, is an official Democratic Party organization chartered by the Santa Clara Country Democratic Central Committee. The PDC has 350 members in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. In addition to its political activities, the PDC publishes the New Democrat, a newsletter for PDC members and activists, and sponsors and produces monthly meetings on subjects of public interest.
