Mike Northcutt plays the Plaza

Local acoustic guitarist/singer Mike Northcutt will display his high energy, strong rhythm and wacky sense of humor from noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow as part of the Los Altos Village Association/Seville Properties Picnic in the Plaza Summer Concerts at the corner of Main and State streets.

Northcutt, who was born and raised in the Los Altos/Palo Alto area, has performed with Huey Lewis and the News and the Elvin Bishop Band. He will also play July 9 at the Los Altos Arts and Wine Festival.

Upcoming concerts are July 6 - Tony Miles, Jamaican reggae; July 20 - Zydeco Flames Duo, zydeco; Aug. 3 - Los Altans Mellbrook Duo, classical flute and harp; and Aug. 17 - String of Pearls, jazz and swing.

So grab a lunch, pull up a lawn chair and enjoy the variety of music. Citibank is providing seating for the concerts to the first 50 people that attend - so get there early. Concerts are from noon to 1 p.m.
