New stage company gets city OK to use L'ACT theater

The curtain is about to rise on a new theater group in town, the Bus Barn Stage Company. The Los Altos City Council authorized the city manager to complete an agreement with the new group for use of the former Los Altos Conservatory Theater (L'ACT) building at the council's last meeting June 13.

Alleged furniture burglar at real estate sales arrested

Six police agencies working together arrested a suspect June 9 on burglary charges in connection with 18 peninsula homes, including two in Los Altos, that were burgled between February and June, said Los Altos Police Sgt. Bob Lacey.
