Mayor Bob Gray will be present to present the oath of office to the new officers and board members.The Chamber takes the opportunity to recognize businesses, individuals and organizations who contributed to the commercial success of the Los Altos business community. The following awards will be presented: For commitment to economic development and business support To Kaleidoscope, the half-hour monthly video presentation produced by city economic development coordinator Carol Curran. For continuing business investment in Los Altos To Tom Andrews of Loyola Meats and Deli for injecting a rejuvenation of the historical shopping district. For business area beautification For Los Altos Village Association for its beautification efforts in downtown Los Altos. For business remodeling and beautification To University Bank which purchased the former Security Pacific Bank and remodeled the building. For outstanding service to the Chamber To architect Shelia Hodgkinson for initiating the Chamber's Home Base Business program. The 1995 new member award To James Goss, of Body Care Massage, who has taken an active role in Chamber activities. 1995 new business of the year To Taylor Made Office Systems at 4294 El Camino Real. 1995 streetscape award To Loyola Corners Business Association for its continuing efforts to upgrade and improve the district. Chamber president's recognition award To Ken And Steve Quadro of Rancho Market for their foresight and concern in recruiting a replacement market at Rancho Shopping Center. 1995 chamber member of the year This award, announced at the banquet is to a member who has contributed above and beyond the call of Chamber membership.
