Garland, Gochnauer Charlotte Louise Garland and James Manabu Gochnauer have announced their engagement and plan to be married in January 1996.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary and Dave Garland of Los Altos. She graduated from high school after being taught at home and later graduated from De Anza College in Cupertino.
The groom-to-be is the son of Keiko Nakatsuka of Seattle, Wash. and James Gochnauer of Chico.
He graduated from Cupertino High School and San Jose State University with a degree in business marketing.
He currently works at Marketshare Inc. in Milpitas.
