Thompson, Stenfort Lisa Danielle Thompson and David Van-Arthur Stenfort announced their engagement and plan to be married Aug. 15 at the First Baptist Church in Los Altos. A reception is scheduled after the wedding at the First Baptist Church in Los Altos.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lee and Georgia Beck of Ozark, Mo. She is a graduate of Fillmore High School and earned a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from California Poly at San Luis Obispo. She will begin teaching in the fall in the Oak Grove School District in San Jose.
The groom-to-be is the son of Harold and Jeanne Stenfort of Los Altos. He is a graduate of Los Altos High School and earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo. Upon graduation, he will work as an industrial engineer in the health care industry. The couple plan to live in the San Jose area.
