Town Crier to present community coffee klatches

Borrowing a term and concept from yesteryear, old fashioned coffee klatches are coming to downtown Los Altos.

Scheduled for the Community Plaza at State and Main streets, the coffee and conversation gatherings are scheduled for six Saturday mornings beginning July 15.

Organizers say the purpose is to give residents an oppportunity to enjoy good conversation, coffee, pastries and music in a pleasant outdoor setting in the Plaza. A limited number of tables and chairs will be provided for serious coffee buffs and talkers.

Coffee and sweets will be sold by local "purveyors of fine coffees." Local musicians will provice background music for the events from 8:30-10 a.m.
