Sotir, Holland

Diane Merrill Sotir and Jeffrey Burton Holland announced their engagement and will be married Aug. 12. The wedding will take place at Meadowood Resort at St. Helena and the reception will be held on The "Green" Golf Course in Napa Valley.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gus and Evelyn Sotir of Los Altos Hills. She is a graduate of Homestead High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in speech communications at San Francisco State University.

She has taken the year off and will resume her career in medical sales after the wedding.

The groom-to-be is the son of Varo and Garna Holland of Salem, Ore. He is a graduate of Cupertino High School and studied international business at University of California at Santa Barbara. He is employed as a mortgage banker with Medallion Mortgage.

The couple plan to live in Los Gatos.
