Joyce Cooling and guitar invade Rancho Center

Rancho Shopping Center's free summer jazz series continues Aug. 2 with the lush harmonies and exotic grooves of singer/guitarist Joyce Cooling & Her Latin Trio.

Hailed as one of the most original and dynamic artists in the San Francisco Bay area, Cooling displays versatility and strength as a musician and seduces her audience with phenomenal stage presence and appeal.

Another highlight of Cooling's style is her finger technique for guitar solos that enables her to bring out a percussiveness in her playing. She also sings her guitar solos, which adds a lyrical, melodic quality.

Cooling performs from 6-8 p.m. Also at the show, Rancho will announce the winner of its Burma Shave sign contest and introduce its Stanford football ticket giveaway promotion.

Rancho is located at Foothill Expressway and Magdalena Road in Los Altos. Picnic supper is invited; bring blanket and/or low lawn chairs. For more information, call 941-1760.
