Fresh Choice officials will donate 100 percent of the price of the dinner to the Community Kitchen so that Kitchen staff can continue serving a hot evening meal four nights a week to low-income and homeless individuals and families.
"The restaurant chain has a history of community involvement, and we want to use our Moffet Park restaurant for this purpose during hours it is closed," said Josephine Stiene, director of public involvement for Fresh Choice Restaurants.
Fresh Choice features an all-you-can-eat format, complete with salad bar, pasta and dessert choices. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12.
During the just-completed July 1 to June 30 fiscal year, Chefs Who Care events raised $12,575 for the Community Kitchen, according to CSA officials.
