Los Altos Hills couple celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

John X. and Dorothy L. Stefanki of Los Altos Hills celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration at Palo Alto Elks picnic grounds organized by their children.

The Stefankis were married April 4, 1945 at the Church of Little Flower in Coral Gables, Fla. The children and grandchildren enacted a skit in the lives of John and Dorothy Stefanki during the 50th anniversary celebration.

Mr. Stefanki was an airline pilot with the United Air Lines and Mrs. Stefanki volunteered in charitable organizations in the Los Altos area.

The Stefankis have nine children, all of whom are married, and 12 grandchildren.

The Stefanki children are all graduates of California universities. Six graduated from University of California at Berkeley and two from University of California at Los Angeles.

Stefanki children attending the anniversary were: Cathy Ann, of Santa Cruz; Steve, of Napa; John, of Sacramento; Judy, of Haverford, Pennsylvania; Larry, of La Quinta; Mary, of Encinitas; Megan of Locust, N.J.; and Dorothy, of San Francisco. One child, Mike, is deceased.
