Mabel G. Chiarle

Mabel G. Chiarle, a native of San Jose, died July 28 at Ridgewood Care Center in Los Altos. She was 77.

A food service worker with Los Altos School District and Mannings Food Service, she is survived by her children, Barbara McDuffee of Sunnyvale, Marabel Moorhead of San Diego and Gene Souza of Pittsburg; and four grandchildren.

A visitation was held July 31 at the Los Altos Chapel of Spangler Mortuaries and a Mass of Christian Burial Aug. 1 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Los Altos.

The family prefers donations be made to the Humane Society of Santa Clara, 2530 Lafayette St., Santa Clara 95051.
