How do changes to Medicare and HMOs affect patients, physicians and hospitals? Are HMOs a good deal? What is the future of El Camino Hospital?

Come to an open forum to hear answers to these important questions as well as other questions that you might have from a panel of health care experts serving our communities of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, and parts of Cupertino and Sunnyvale.

Dr. Richard Wheat, former board member for the El Camino Hospital District, will moderate the panel of Dr. Paul Hoar, chairman of district board, El Camino Hospital; Richard Pettingill, CEO of Camino Healthcare, El Camino Hospital; and Douglas Usher, chairman, board of directors of Camino Healthcare, El Camino Hospital.

The League of Women Voters of Los Altos-Mountain View and the Los Altos Main Library are sponsoring the meeting 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 from at the Los Altos Main Library, 13 S. San Antonio Road in Los Altos. Coffee will be served.
