printer friendly version Print this story

The Mountain View Union High School is having its 50th reunion Oct. 6 in Mariani's Restaurant at 2500 El Camino Real in Santa Clara.

Fifty years ago, Los Altos High School did not exist. Los Altos residents went to the Mountain View Union High School. There were 57 graduating classes from 1924 through 1981.

The banquet room is reserved for no-host cocktails beginning at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Organizers said the event will feature a slide show consisting of pictures taken during the demise of MVUHS.

Ted Seely will show a series of Los Altos scenes and high school activities during the senior year. Classmates are encouraged to bring along any slides or mementos of the class of '45.

Other classes from MVUHS will attend Alumni Day Oct. 7 in Cuesta Park in Mountain View. The alumni picnic is a gathering where friends from classes of all years will attend. Teachers and other members from classes in the 1930s will be there.
