Several openings still exist in the two-day class for 3-4 -year-olds starting Sept. 13 at the Los Altos Parent Preschool (LAPP), a non-profit cooperative preschool sponsored by the Mountain View -Los Altos Education Center.

This high-quality school program includes art, science and music, as well as motor skills and language development elements. Parents participate in organizing some of the diverse class activities and field trips. The enthusiasm of teachers and parents and a focus on the individuality of each child has distinguished LAPP, its proponents say.

Denny DeHarane teaches the two-day class. Keiko Hayashi of Los Altos serves as the school's director and teaches the three-day class.

The 1995-1996 school year marks the 42nd year for LAPP. The school is located at 655 Magdalena Avenue, at Foothill Expressway in Los Altos.
