Foothill College Speakers Forum to feature Kuralt, Foley and Thatcher

Tom Foley, Margaret Thatcher, Charles Kuralt, Mary Matalin and James Carville will be the speakers for the Foothill Celebrity Forum during the 1995-96 school year.

The Foothill-De Anza Community College District Board of Trustees has approved a $130,000 allocation for a list of speakers from the Washington Speakers Bureau.

In the 28th year of the speakers series, Foothill College Dean Richard Henning said bookings will go through one agency this year. "You can usually get the price down when you work a package deal with one agency," he said.

The order of appearances will be Foley (this Friday); Thatcher (Oct. 6); Kuralt, (April 9, 1996); and Matalin/Carville (April 19,1996).

Each performance will be held at the Flint Center auditorium on the De Anza College campus in Cupertino.

According to terms of the agreement, each speaker will deliver a presentation following a four-minute introduction at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., the speaker will answer questions concluding no later than 9:25 p.m. Speakers will then attend an informal reception for sponsors at a private residence.
