Council, school board candidate forums scheduled Several scheduled forums within the next month may offer voters a glimpse into the perspectives of six candidates vying for three open Los Altos City Council seats and four candidates seeking spots on the Foothill-De Anza Community College District Board of Trustees.

The six council candidates, Gloria Bauer, Louis Becker, Kris Casto, Janet Dobson, Francis LaPoll and Bob Norton, are running for the Nov. 7 election.

Scheduled forums include:

• A 7:30-9:30 p.m. forum this Thursday for Foothill-De Anza candidates. Incumbents Mary Mason, Judy Moss and Dolores Sandoval and challenger Kevin Murray are running for three seats on the board;

• A 9-10:30 a.m., Oct. 24, discussion featuring council and school board candidates sponsored by the Senior Coordinating Council in the multipurpose room at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave.;

• An 8:30-9:30 a.m., Oct. 27, forum sponsored by Pen West Realtors in the multipurpose room at Hillview Center.
