Festive 'Holiday Country Tea' at Hidden Villa Dec. 2-3

Hidden Villa invites the community to take part in its sixth annual "Holiday Country Tea," featuring a collection of gifts for sale and diverse teas, homemade sweets and savories to sample. The Holiday Country Tea will take place Dec. 2-3 from 1-4 p.m. at Hidden Villa's Nature Shop, 26870 Moody Road in Los Altos Hills. Admission is $5.

All proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for Hidden Villa's programs promoting environmental awareness and humanitarian values.

Hidden Villa's Nature Shop is stocked with holiday gifts for the nature lover in mind. The shop features a wide selection of hand-crafted gourds (by Los Altos Hills resident Ginger Summit), ornaments, baskets, handmade and recycled papers and cards, wreaths made from native materials, music, childrens' books, toys, gourmet foods, teaching materials and jewelry.

The tea is put on by community volunteers including the mother/daughter teams from the Stanford Hills Chapter of the National Charity League. The Butler's Pantry of I,os Altos will be providing English scones, sausage rolls and quiche as well as hot Ribena, a fragrant black current drink. The Holiday Country Tea is designed to bring the community together in a festive holidly atmosphere.

Hidden Villa is a 1,600-acre educational farm & wilderness preserve in Los Altos Hills which operates summer camps, environmental education and hostel programs teaching youth to care for the environment and each other. Hidden Villa is open to the public from 9 a.m. to dusk every day except Mondays.
