Challas, Bonnifield Catherine Challas and Gregory Bonnifield are engaged to be married July 20, 1996 at Squaw Valley. They intend to have a reception afterward at The Resort at Squaw Creek.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Jane Challas of Los Altos. She is a graduate of Los Altos High School and received a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and master's degree in special education at the University of the Pacific. She is employed as a special education teacher at Children's Home of Stockton.

The groom-to-be is the son of Susan and Allen Bonnifield of Stockton. He is a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Delta College. He is executive vice president at Physiologic Reps Inc.

The couple plan to live in Stockton.
