Funds sought for downtown twinkle lights The Los Altos Village Association is seeking financial support for the twinkle lights that will adorn many of the trees in downtown Los Altos during the months of November and December. The financial management of the project includes the cost of new light strings, maintenance, replacement, repair and labor force to put and take down the lights.

The Village Association began this project in 1967 to create a festive and decorative atmosphere along our business streets during the holiday season. Los Altans can enjoy the magical ambiance the lights create. The City pays only for the eletrical costs. The remaining costs of thousands a year are the responsiblity of the Village Association. This year additional funds will need to be raised to fully decorate the Community Plaza as well.
