Town Crier Staff Report

Miriam Mazzi urges Los Altos residents to sign-up for the recreation department's winter classes that offer everything from belly-dancing to woodworking.

"Our winter registration is lagging," said Razzi, senior recreation supervisor. "I'm afraid we'll lose our teachers. They need their minimum to run their classes."

Residents might consider a New Year's resolution to learn something new, to brush up a skill, to get out and try the cha-cha or horseback riding through the rec department.

Most winter classes begin the week of Jan. 8, 1996. A limited number of copies of the fall/winter activity guide are available for pick-up at the recreation department office, 97 Hillview Ave., City Hall or at the public libraries in Los Altos.

Walk-in registration is now being taken at the Los Altos Recreation Department for winter classes and programs. Recreation office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
