Coming to Los Altos three years ago from St. Francis High School, she teaches Spanish IV/V/VI AP, Spanish III and Spanish III Honors classes. In addition to teaching her classes, Salsman de Rodriguex also serves as advisor to the sophomore class, the Spanish Club, the Star Trek Club and the Coffee Club. Teaching at Los Altos High is very rewarding for Salsman de Rodriguex, who notes that students and teachers are allowed to be individuals and respected for who they are. Both can grow socially and spiritually and express themselves in freedom of speech and dress. Salsman de Rodriguex, who grew up in Saratoga, graduated from Santa Clara University. Her husband teaches Spanish at Saratoga High School and they are the parents of two young children. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking and cross-stitching. |
