For Kids! Campaign, which funds programs for at-risk East Palo Alto youths.The campaign, scheduled to begin in January, raised nearly $100,000 last year, all of which was invested back in the community. Volunteers need not be YMCA members or familiar with the YMCA, just interested in improving the lives of at-risk children. The Page Mill YMCA is one of the YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula's four branches. Other branches include the Sequoia Branch in Redwood City, the Palo Alto Family Branch in south Palo Alto and the El Camino Branch in Mountain View. The YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula serves more than 30,000 adults, teens, children and seniors throughout Peninsula cities. Major program areas include aquatics, activities for active older adults, basketball, camp, child care, youth leadership training and physical education.
