Wauchope, Brook

Valerie Wauchope and Gregory Brook announced their engagement and plan to be married June 1 at the Seascape Resort in Aptos. A reception will follow at the resort. The couple have known each other for 18 years.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wauchope of Cool, Calif. She is a graduate of Los Altos High School and received her bachelor's degree in physical education from Chico State University, and a master's degree from University of Laverne. She is employed at Genex services as a vocational rehabilitation consultant.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brook of Los Altos. He is a graduate of Los Altos High School and received his bachelor's degree in construction management from Chico State University. He is president of "Real Estate Solutions," a full-service real estate development company.
