Edwards will be present at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Heintzelman's Bookstore, 205 State St., Los Altos, signing her paperback edition and discussing the background to writing a romance novel. "White Wind" is a sensuous and compelling love story that sweeps the reader into a heart stopping world of adventure and courage. It is an interesting, action-packed western romance novel loaded with exciting characters set in the early 1800s. Golden Eagle, a Sioux warrior, is a central character, along with Sara, the adopted daughter of a trapper. When her father dies and leaves his evil cousin as her guardian, she runs away to search for her real father, an unknown Indian warrior. Golden Eagle finds her and decides she is to be his, even though he is to marry the daughter of a rival chief in order to bring peace to the two tribes. The story weaves a tapestry of adventure and courage. A California native, Edwards is a member of the Romance Writers of America and California Writer's Club. In addition to the book signing at Heintzelman's, Edwards will also be available to sign books at 1 p.m. March 16 at Walden Books in Vallco Shopping Center in Cupertino. |
