Local residents win Chamber trip to Mexico

Scott and Sheryl Miller, of OakleyDrive in Los Altos, have won the Chamber of Commerce drawing forthe five day vacation to Club Regina at the Westin resort on thesouthern tip of Baja, Mexico.

Penny Lave, president of the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, presentedthe America West Airlines ticket to the Millers. The promotionwas sponsored by the Rancho Shopping Center and Loyola CornersBusiness District.

Traveling to Mexico for the first time, the Millers will be welcomedby Javier Silva, director of customer relations for the resort,designed by Mexican architect Javier Sordo Madalena. Similar instyle to the San Jose Children's Discovery Museum in downtownSan Jose, the Club Regina Westin Resort is located a few milesfrom San Jose del Cabo where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea ofCortez.

Entries to the Chamber of Commerce benefit drawing for the tripwere sold at the recent Rancho and Loyola Corners Chamber mixers,as well as the chamber's April 25 EXPO trade fair.

The drawing was held at the opening of the Los Altos Farmers Marketat Loyola Corners May 4. Los Altos Mayor Patti Williams drew thewinning ticket for the Millers.

Goldfus handles marketing efforts for both Rancho ShoppingCenter and Loyola Corners.
