The Los Altos Senior Center is located at the Hillview CommunityCenter, 97 Hillview Ave., in Los Altos. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3p.m. Monday through Friday. Followingis a list of special events for the month:

Thursday: 10 a.m. to noon, long-term health care seminar.Topics include how to assess your risk of needing long-term careand what government programs can assist.

Friday: 1 p.m., movie, "The Bridges of MadisonCounty" starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood. Held inRoom 11. Popcorn served.

Tuesday and June 27: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days, 55-Aliveoffers a two-day classroom course in mature driving techniques.Cost is $8.

June 28: 1 p.m., birthday-bingo party. Come to Room11 for an afternoon of bingo, sing-along and birthday cake. Signup by June 26.

June 30: Noon, picnic in the park. The first picnic ofthe summer in Shoup Park. Meet new people and enjoy hamburgers,coleslaw, potato salad and apple pie. Ye Olde Towne Band willperform at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $3 with activity card, $6 without.
