Town Crier Staff Report

Los Altos Pony Baseball's bronco "1" all-star squad continued to roll through the section tournament with an 11-2 win over Washington Manor last Wednesday in Morgan Hill.

As of last Friday, the locals were one of two undefeated teams in the 10-team tourney and were to next play over the weekend. The results were not available at press time.

Against Washington Manor, John Abramo pitched six strong innings and had three hits, and Kevin Hsu contributed some fine hitting and defense.

Speaking of defense, Cody Himes impressed at second base and catcher Aaron Rouleau gunned down a runner attempting to steal second.

Although it notched an 8-5 win over Morgan Hill National last Tuesday, the Los Altos bronco "2" team exited the tourney a day later with a 6-0 defeat to San Jose Pacific.

In the Morgan Hill game, Justin Morrison pitched a complete-game win, Ryan Wilcox and Nelson Haung had two hits each and Wilcox played some strong shortstop.

MUSTANGS: The Los Altos mustang "A" all-stars' game against Daly City last Tuesday was the antithesis of its first contest in the district tourney. This time out, the locals trounced their opponent, 19-1, in a four-inning affair.

Next up for the mustangs was a game last Saturday, and possible games on Sunday and Monday.
