The photo contest will be held in conjunction with the first annual Frank and Josephine Duveneck Humanitarian Awards, to be presented on Sept. 28, and an exhibition of work by nature photographer Robert Glenn Ketchum. The Duveneck Humanitarian Awards have been offered to recognize the visionary work and generosity of the Duvenecks by honoring outstanding contributions of those who work toward peace, justice and preserving the natural environment today. The contest is sponsored by the Los Altos Town Crier and the first place winners will be published, according to editor Bruce Barton. The entry deadline for the photo contest is Sept. 6.
