Pilgrim Haven to showcase talents with art show

Retirement has turned creative for artists Miriam Bjornson and Avie Urch, who will display their work at the Pilgrim Haven Art Show Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the Los Altos senior retirement community.

The two artists, co-chairs of the art committee at Pilgrim Haven, organized the second annual event so fellow residents and Pilgrim Haven employees and Board of Managers could showcase their artwork.

Bjornson, a member of the Los Altos Art Club and the Pacific Art League, paints primarily landscapes in watercolors and oils. Urch, who has studied under several well-known artists, has been an active artist for more than 15 years. Art work will be for sale and refreshments will be provided. Pilgrim Haven is located at 373 Pine Lane in Los Altos. For more information, call 948-8291.
