Colin A. Duwe of Los Altos Hills graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

Two local students graduated from Duke University in North Carolina in May 1996. Gretchen Marie Watters of Los Altos received a bachelor of arts degree and Allison Dahl Wayman of Los Altos Hills received a master of environmental management degree. Two local students were named to the spring semester 1996 dean's list at Duke University. Mark Christopher Mitchell and James Allen Nelson.

Mark S. Colella, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Colella of Los Altos, received a bachelor of arts degree from Williams College in Massachuetts in June 1996. He was a biology major and played football during his four years.

Thomas Clarke of Los Altos received a bachelor of arts degree during commencement exercises at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire on June 9, 1996.

Clarke, sone of Ray and Dorthe Clarke, had a double major in anthropology and Spanish.
