That promised raise didn't come

Dear Jean: This is the bleakest moment of my professional career. My promised raise was dumped because of a company tightening. I let him know how disappointed I was. I told him this demonstrated that the company did not value me. I will probably quit. I hinted as much to him, and he did not move. He doesn't seem to care. I want to work for a company that values its employees. I am one more Silicon Valley Victim.
