Through club programs, business meetings and service projects, members can develop personal and professional marketing skills. Recently, the club has volunteered to help at local charity events. Volunteers needed for senior programs Men and women are needed to volunteer for Council On Aging Services which provide important assistance to Los Altos home-bound, frail older people. Needed are visitors and/or shoppers, in-home advocates, volunteers to help install home emergency response systems, and health insurance counselors. Oil painters at Gallery Michael Oil painters Barbara Mc Cann and Charles White will have works exhibited through Nov. 3 at Gallery Michael, 164 Main St., Los Altos. Woodcarver visits St. Simon boutique Noted woodcarver Paul F. Bolinger will be showing his original Santa carvings at the St. Simon's Heart's Desire Boutique, Oct. 25-26, at St. Simon Church, 1860 Grant Road, Los Altos. Bolinger, a former Mountain View resident, has had his pieces featured by Gump's the past 10 years and his Santas will be introduced by Neiman Marcus beginning this year. Chefs Who Care Oktoberfest The Black Forest Cafe Bistro of Los Altos will hold an Oktoberfest Chefs Who Care benefit 5-8 p.m. tonight at 376 First St., Los Altos. The event benefits the Community Kitchen of the Community Services Agency, which serves meals four nights a week to low-income and homeless families.
