Westwind Barn to post signs as safety measure

The Board of Directors of Westwind Barn met with their insurance agent to review insurance policies and related safety practices. The signs will read: "Pass at your own risk. You assume that risk, whether known or unknown, in the presence of horses."

City approves franchise agreement with Metricom

Los Altos Hills City Council directed the town's city attorney last week to prepare a franchise agreement with Metricom to install wireless data equipment. Metricom requested the town allow installation of 30-40 antennas on utility poles within Los Altos Hills. The agreement calls for a 5 percent franchise fee to compensate the town for use of the right-of-way.
