Hours of the sale are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, and 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2. The final hours on Nov. 2 will be bargain time. Many of the original crew are still involved. The school and parish property on Rosita Avenue have been sold to the city, which will take possession the week after the sale. Pilgrim Haven holiday bazaar Pilgrim Haven will hold its 32nd annaul Candy Cane Lane Bazaar 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 2 at the retirement community, 373 Pine Lane, Los Altos. On display and for sale will be handmade holiday gifts, white elephants, baked goods and jewelry. "Proceeds from the bazaar are administered by the residents who vote to use this money for community services and for special projects at Pilgrim Haven that benefit all residents," said administrator Stephen A. 'Remember When' at History House The Los Altos History House Museum is exhibiting "Remember When," a collection of aerial photographs by former Los Altos resident Adrian Hatfield, who died last year. Hatfield's photos date from 1947 to 1979 and show panoramic views and changes in the landscape. The exhibit will be on display through November. For more information, call 948-9427. Composting class in Los Altos The city of Los Atlos is sponsoring a home composting workshop 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Los Altos Youth Center, located behind City Hall, 1 N. San Antonio Road. Information will include how to transform yard waste and kitchen scraps into natural soil amendment that gardeners call "black gold" - compost. Volunteer composters from the U.C. Cooperative Extension Home Composting Education Program for Santa Clara County will teach the basics of composting with worms. There is no charge for the class and reservations are recommended. Los Altos Rotaract Club seeking new members The Los Altos Rotaract Club, a community service group sponsored by the Los Altos Rotary Club and Rotary International, is seeking career-minded individuals between the ages of 18-35 as new members. Through club programs, business meetings and service projects, members can develop personal and professional marketing skills. Recently, the club has volunteered to help at local charity events. Woodcarver visits St. Simon boutique Noted woodcarver Paul F. Bolinger will be showing his original Santa carvings at the St. Simon's Heart's Desire Boutique, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at St. Simon Church, 1860 Grant Road, Los Altos. Bolinger, a former Mountain View resident, has had his pieces featured by Gump's the past 10 years, and his Santas will be introduced by Neiman Marcus beginning this year. Foothill Stamp Club open to collectors All persons interested in stamp collecting as a hobby may join the Foothill Stamp Club, which regularly meets 7:30 p.m. the first and third Mondays of the month on the second floor of Great Western Bank, 199 Main St. in Los Altos.
