Town Crier Staff Report

Ghoulish goblins, wacky witches and dancing ballerinas are all planning to attend Santa Rita School's 36th annual "Witches Delight" Halloween Carnival sponsored by the Parent-Teacher Association from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. this Saturday at the school, 700 Los Altos Ave., Los Altos.

Carnival games, including phantom football, buried treasure, candy tree, mummy fingers, and wheel of fortune, will be featured, along with "Tic-Tack BOO!," "Trash the Bottle" and "Can You Stand It." This year's cake walk will feature more than 80 ghoulishly decorated cakes.

"The ever popular Haunted House, built and hosted by the Santa Rita sixth grade class, promises to be spookier then ever," said Claudia Westrum, co-chairperson of the carnival.

Chef Chu's Chinese chicken salad, Round Table Pizza, slushies, and a variety of baked goods will be sold throughout the day.

The carnival and Haunted House are for pre-school through elementary school children who must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission to the carnival is free. Game tickets are 25 cents each. Children and adults are encouraged to come in costume.
