Town Crier Staff Report

A breezy day set the scene for the Loyola School annual walk-a-thon held on Oct. 19 at the school. This is the biggest fund raiser of the year for the elementary school.

Students, friends, family, staff and neighborhood supporters walked and ran around the school's track, taking breaks for food and drink donated by local merchants.

There was face painting, music, prizes, and the first ever "Bike-a-Rama" where patrons could shop for used bicycles. An ice cream social capped the festivities, offering a build-your-own ice cream sundae to all participants.

The money earned from the walk-a-thon is used to enhance the technology program at Loyola School.
