Election '96 student-style

printer friendly version Print this story

Bullis-Purissima School students participate in the election process at their school on Nov. 5. The two fifth grade classes were responsible for registering every student in the school and staffing the polling booths in half hour shifts.

Students learned about the candidates like Bill Clinton and Bob Dole, so they were able to make a knowledgeable decision.

Each class went to the polling room, in the multi-purpose room, signed in and cast their ballots.

Once the students completed their ballot by filling in the spot underneath the candidates' photo, they received a sticker of participation.
