Sunday: 11:45 a.m., a Christmas outing, starting with lunch at The Hacienda and then on to the Bethel Church in San Jose for a Christmas Spectacular show. Cost is $44, including lunch, ticket, transportation and driver's tip. Tuesday: 1 p.m., birthday / bingo party in Room 11. Event featrues an afternoon of bingo, singalong and birthday cake. Note: The Senior Center will be closed from noon, Dec. 20, until Jan. 6. Mountain View Senior Center The Los Altos Senior Center is located at the Hillview Community Center 97 Hillview Ave., in Los Altos. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. A state Department of Consumer Affairs spokesperson is available to describe services and programs. Sunday: 2 p.m., video Sunday with the film, "Mr. Holland's Opus," starring Richard Dreyfuss. Cost is 50 cents per person. Dec. 18: 10 a.m., Senior Coordinating Council meeting. Dec. 19: 10:30 a.m., annual holiday reception with free holiday goodies and warm apple cider. Live music provided. Dec. 22: 2 p.m., video Sunday with film, "The Santa Clause," starring Tim Allen and Scott Calvins. Light refreshments served. Cost is 50 cents. Dec. 29: 2 p.m., Dance Sunday to the sounds of Bob Jensen. Cost is $3 per person. Dec. 31: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 1997 New Year's bash for seniors. Event presented by the City of Palo Alto and the City of Mountain View Community Services. Tickets are $10 per person. |
