Donations sought for tree lights downtown

Los Altos Village Association organizers are seeking donations for holiday lights that adorn approximately 125 downtown trees during the month of December.

The donations go to cover costs of new light strings, maintenance, repair and the labor force to put lights up and take them down. Organizers said they need to raise approximately $10,000.

Contributors can choose to either sponsor an entire tree or contribute $1 and become eligible for a shopping spree. Contributions can be made to "Christmas Decoration Fund," P.O. Box 1076, Los Altos 94023. For more information, call 949-5282.
