It's a wrap. Mondeo, a 76-seat restaurant that will serve all manner of trendy "wraps," those tasty fillings bundled inside a tortilla, may be coming to Los Altos.

The Los Altos Planning Commission approved the restaurant "enthusiastically" for 249 First St. at their Jan. 16 meeting, said Chet Frankenfield, chairman of the planning commission.

The restaurant will include a kids menu and reasonable prices, he said.

"Maybe I'll go in and have a Sicilian wrap," Frankenfield said. That, along with turkey and avocado wraps and many others will be on the menu.

In spite of the commissioners' enthusiasm for the restaurant, they were concerned about traffic.

"We strongly recommended to the city that they make parking and traffic a high priority," Frankenfield said.

The planning commission meetings are open to the public. The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 in City Hall at 1 N. San Antonio Road. For more information, call 948-1491.
