Los Altos outages over weekend

The winds and wet weather from last weekend's storms caused two power outages in the Los Altos area early Saturday morning, according to PG&E.

The first one, at 2:41 a.m. Jan. 25, lasted for several minutes, said PG&E spokesman Scott Blakey. The second outage, from 3:58-6:30 a.m., left 1,864 users in the dark. Blakey said a tree caught in a power line along Summerhill Avenue triggered the second outage.
