Council reverses earlier vote, approves 2-story rezoning for condos

Even city councils change their minds. In a surprise reversal of an earlier decision that had supported a three-story 24-unit condominium project, the Los Altos City Council voted 4-1 for a rezoning that would allow only two-stories and 15 to 16 units.

A working woman

My late mother would not have had much patience with the current flap about whether homemakers should work outside the home, and if so, when. For much of her life, she held a job and raised a family, and there was never any question about when to do which, or even both at once, if necessary.
