The 1997 Great Decisions Forums are under way now at the Los Altos Main Library, 13 S. San Antonio Road. The sessions will be held 10 a.m. to noon each Monday through March 31 in the library program room.

The free discussions are sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the Los Altos Library, and are open to everyone. For more information about the discussions, call the library at 948-7048.

Upcoming topics are:

This coming Monday: "Terrorism and crime";

March 3: Europe: Economic and military integration;

March 10: Environmental threats to stability.

After its remodeling, the Woodland Library has reopened with a fresh new look, including new furniture, carpeting and shelving. Hours are 1-8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
