In addition to Kinkade, well-known local laywoman Sally Forster, a former teaching leader of the Bible Study Fellowship in Los Altos, will also speak. Kinkade, one of the most popular artists in the world today, is considered by some to be a contemporary Norman Rockwell. Kinkade uses light in his paintings of cottages and landscapes that radiates from the canvas, even in a dimly lit room. At his talk he will have several original, rarely seen in public, paintings on display, not to sell, but to illustrate his message about prayer. He has said that prayer is the source of his inspiration. The event will be at Hyatt Rickeys in Palo Alto. Reservations are $20 and include breakfast. Seating is limited.
