Perumattam, of Los Altos, has received a bachelor's degree in system engineering from Boston University. Warren Wu, of Los Altos, has received his doctorate of philosophy from University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign, Ill. Karen Lombardi, of Los Altos Hills, was named to the Claremont McKenna College dean's list for the 1996 fall semester. She is the daughter of Sheila and Paul Lombardi of Los Altos Hills. Joshua Goines, of Los Altos, was named to the Claremont McKenna College Dean's list for the 1996 semester. He is the son of Lee and William Goines of Los Altos. Regina Wakerly, daughter of Katherine and John Wakerly of Mountain View, was named to the dean's list at the University of Notre Dame at Notre Dame, Ind. Mick Daniel O'Keefe, of Los Altos, was named to the dean's list at University of Oregon at Eugene, Ore. Alexander M. Riseborough, of Los Altos, was named to the dean's list at Norwich University. Eamon Briggs, of Los Altos Hills, and Erin K. Darling, of Los Altos, were named to the dean's list at Colby College at Waterville, Maine. Christina Kaye, of Los Altos Hills, will be spending this coming spring term studying in Spain under the international studies program administered by Central College. Kaye is a student at the University of California at San Diego. Aparna Sridhar, daughter of Banavar and Champa Sridhar of Los Altos, and a graduating senior at Mountain View High School, is one of approximately 2,600 candidates in the 1997 Presidential Scholars Program. The candidates were selected from more than 2.5 million students expected to graduate from United States high schools this year. Four Mountain View High School students have been given achievement awards, sponsored by the Bank of America, for academic and leadership attributes. The students, and their expected majors in college, are: Betsy Cameron, fine arts; Ryan Damm and Geoffrey Rau, science and math; and Aparna Sridhar, liberal arts. The students will be honored at Senior Honors' Night May 23. |
