Town Crier Staff Report

It's back: The Los Altos Town Choir, fresh from its Christmastime performances, is again inviting local singers to join in a St. Patrick's-themed concert 4:30-5:30 p.m. March 16, the day before St. Patrick's Day. The concert will take place at the Community Plaza, at the intersection of Main and State streets in Los Altos.

The choir will be singing Irish songs and ballads, including the favorites, "Danny Boy," "Irish Lullaby" and "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling."

Rehearsals for the concert are scheduled for 4-5 p.m. Sunday at St. Nicholas Church, 611 S. El Monte Ave., in Los Altos, and 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 8 at the Community Plaza. Any suggestions for songs are welcome.

The choir is asking restaurants in Los Altos to offer corned beef and cabbage or Irish stew during the night of the concert for post-concert dining.
