Exchanging culture and good times

Japanese exchange students from Iwata Minami High School in Iwata, Japan are visiting Mountain View High School students from March 20 to March 28 as part of an on-going program.

This is the fifth year of the exchange program with Mountain View's sister city of Iwata. Mountain View students visited Japan Twice before.

The Japanese students are staying with host families and attend classes with the students. Also part of their itinerary is a visit to Yosemite National Park, demonstrations of Japanese culture to the Mountain View students, learning about student government and a tour of the city of Mountain View.

Next year students from Mountain View will visit Japan. As in the past, members of a student organization will be chosen to represent the school. If you are interested in learning more about the program, call Janet Brown at 940-4618 or Kathy Kuipers at 941-5508.
