He's sings bass with the school's Main Street Singers, which has just finished a tour of Eastern Europe. He's played in the school's wind ensemble, marching band and jazz band. He also fashions himself as a composer - his "Phantasmagoria," which he described as "a series of dream-like sequences," will be performed by the wind ensemble 7 p.m. March 5 at the United Methodist Church in Los Altos. He also co-writes for his rock group, Reckless Abandon, which is working hard to complete its first album before graduation. Also in the band are Los Altos High students David Shur on drums, Brian Rutkin on guitar and Stephen Bolles on bass and drums. DuVal plays keyboards. read moreSome musical outlets for youthCommunity School of Music and Arts: 253 Martens Ave., Mountain View, 94040.
